    Description

    This is an
    EXTREMELY RARE Arabia footed centerpiece display bowl
    with handles on each side.  It can be used for flowers, as a fruit bowl, to display almost anything. It can also be used as a serving dish. Very versatile.
    Hand painted, signed UP/SM.  Valencia was designed by Ulla Procope in 1960 and became so popular it continued until around 2002.
    This piece still retains its lustrous colors,
    even though my inadequate photography skills don't show them off to perfection.
    Free of chips, cracks, crazing and stains.
    Looks as if they’ve never been used, which I can attest to since it has been stored in a cupboard at the top of my kitchen for the last 25 years. Before that it was stored in my grandmother’s house for who knows how long. We are trying to de-clutter so this has to go. Priced to move.

    It is one of the standout designs to come out from Arabia Finland in the second half of the 20th Century.
    It continues to be one of the most desirable and valuable (on the resale market) Arabia Finland dinnerware designs. The design features an intense cobalt blue oxide painted onto a white ground, with the deep cobalt blue covering almost the entire surface. Measures 11.5 inches from handle to handle, 9 inches across bowl, 4 ¾ tall.  The foot measures 5 ¼ inches across.
