RARE Old Gen Wilcox NVG IR Strobe Beacon Light NSW NSWDG CAG
These Wilcox IR Strobes are an early covert signaling device. They are surplus but are in excellent condition and built like a tank. these can work as a pressure activated for momentary strobing via the rear button or the base can be screwed all the way down for continuous strobing. The base has windows cut so the contact between the button and the body can be visualised with both contact areas being painted with a glow in the dark paint for identification in the dark. Made for covertly signaling the emitter is a directional dull red visible signature that is extremely bright under night vison. Being directional you can only see the emitted light if the emitter in your direction. Having a foot print roughly the size of a standard Surefire style light these fit nicely in most flashlight pouches; like our LBT flashight pouches. The strobe is powered by 3 CR-123 batteries *. It is important to note that the batteries must be installed with the positive towards the head of the strobe. The strobes have been tested to ensure they are working, however the contacts could use a cleaning to improve conduction.  * Batteries not included
