This Sacrificial window is for the PVS-7, PVS-14, and 6015 Night Vision Models.  The Sacrificial Window slides over your objective lens and acts as a barrier to protect it from debris.  It can easily be removed and discarded to be replaced.  It is always good to have a couple extras on hand when they are ready to be replaced from regular and tough condition use.
